Puppet Show in 1 Act

“Oedipus and Jocasta” is a modern Georgian dramatic version of the King Oedipus story, the most tragic tales in Greek Mythology, where puppets interpret the main heroes.

Iliauni Theatre shall give the stage to the Puppets to recount one of the fatal narratives of the world drama, which, developing in parallel with Sophocles “Oedipus Rex” creates a version that differs completely from Classical interpretation. Jocasta of this modern play is a more active character than Oedipus, and the story, as classics should, resounds with the same magnitude as centuries ago in Ancient Greece.
