The inner dialogue unfolding in the human mind—the struggle with oneself—is a decisive path toward overcoming suicidal intent and continuing the fight for existence. Deep loneliness and isolation, within an alienated and manipulated reality, can lead a person to a sense of life’s meaninglessness, from which suicide may appear as one possible escape.
A man, like a woman, experiences profound loneliness. For him, creating a play and allowing a woman into his life is not only an ambition as a playwright, but also a desperate attempt to fill his own existential void and escape solitude. The woman becomes for him not merely an object to be saved, but a field of projection—someone through whom the man seeks to find the meaning of existence.
