On October 15 and 16 Iliauni Theatre will present a premiere.
Our stage will be spared for the first time in the honour of William Shakespeare’s famous character, ugly, humpnbacked, lame and smutty creature, one of the most extraordinary rulers in the history of England.
Director and actor Kakhaber Shartava worked on the well-known play by William Shakespeare. Kakha Shartava is known through reality show “Dasi”. He has brought together actors from different theatres especially for this performance. Young actors will express through their plasticity the bloody story of Richard Glauster’s reign, still terrible and breathtaking after centuries.
About the Director
Kakhaber Shartava will stage a performance at Iliauni Theatre for the first time. “Richard III” is his second creation. His first essay as a director was Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” which he created for Kutaisi Lado Meskhishvili Theatre. He has played Richard III himself at the Movement Theatre, where he worked for 5 years. At the same time Kakha Shartava is an anchor at “Info9” and a reporter for the Morning Show at Channel 9.
