An impoverished young artist Blaise rents a luxurious apartment for pretending to be the best match for the daughter of rich Monsieur Carlier. The idea comes from none other but Genevieve, the mistress of Blaise herself, who also happens to be a mistress of Monsieur Carlier. Do you still follow? It’s yet an introduction. The mayhem shall start when Blaise fails to get the maitre d’hôtel he has demanded… During all the three acts of this French vaudeville one misunderstanding replaces the other, doors are slammed all the time and they only open to admit those characters who are the least expected on stage and in the audience.
