On April 30 at 20:00 Iliauni Theatre will perform “cesar and Drana” On Mono perfrmances International Festival Armmono in Yerevan.
It is the 14th edition of the Theatre Festival this year. Performances from Belorus, Poland, Lithuania, Israel, the Great Britain and Russia will be shown on the Festival which opens on 29 April and lasts until May 3.
The Performance “Cesar and Drana” has been on Iliauni Theatre stage for a year now. It is staged according to Canadian writers Isabel Dore’s play by Director Rusudan Kobiashvili.
“Cesar and Drana” is a mono performance and tells a story of a gypsy woman Drana that travels along the highway with its old horse Cesar. She remembers her life full of war and other hardships, recounts about her love and hildren,
Drana is played by Lili Khuriti and the female only group worked on the performance: the play was translated by Kethy Kvantaliani, original music for the show was written by Maia Gogsadze and the set was created by Tamar Kobiashvili. The performance was staged through financial support of the Tbilisi Municipality.
